Implementation Process

Overview of our pureCommerce Implementation Process

The pureCommerce implementation process is dedicated to ensuring a successful and speedy installation and configuration and transition. Our time-proven procedures mean that your expectations and goals are met and that milestones are completed on or before their schedule. Our implementation process involves the following nine stages:

  1. Stage 1 - Project initiation
  2. Stage 2 - Design
  3. Stage 3 - Customizations
  4. Stage 4 - Store setup
  5. Stage 5 - Training
  6. Stage 6 - Product roll out
  7. Stage 7 - Testing
  8. Stage 8 - Deployment
  9. Stage 9 - Support and maintenance

Stage 1 - Project Initiation:

Before project technical and design work begins, we organize the project to mutually understand the process and functional requirements to provide the most transparent and successful implementation possible.

  • Team introduction and role explanation
  • Outlining of required eCommerce elements
  • Review Change Management Process
  • Review Client Communication Portal
  • Generate and review Project Plan and Milestones

Stage 2 - Design

pureCommerce provides unparalleled design flexibility. We work in partnership with your team to create a unique site design that reinforces your brand. We work independently to meet your requirements, and implement your design into pureCommerce, or if you prefer, we can provide you with template options. Our design team is uniquely skilled in creating high-end, high quality designs that leverage the capabilities of the pureCommerce solution and your unique business needs.

Stage 3 - Customizations

Any functional customization requirements are developed and stored in a segmented area of your installation and implemented via customization hooks which are built into the pureCommerce software. This enables us to properly maintain and upgrade your pureCommerce software without any customization obstacles. Additional customizations can include integration with third party systems and integration into existing accounting and logistic applications.

Stage 4 - Store Setup

We will set up and configure your store to run effectively and securely on the Internet in the manner and operation intended for the design and functional requirements. The store setup will include:

  • Provisioning a temporary domain for you to use while preparing the site
  • Install and initialize the pureCommerce software
  • Provide assistance for you to set up your payment gateway(s) and domain name(s)
  • Generate the requirements and install your secure certificates
  • Assist you with back office account management set up
  • Where applicable, we will upload your images and files and perform data migration services as contracted
  • Train you on how to use the pureCommerce Back Office

Stage 5 - Training

pureCommerce training personnel will tutor individuals and groups designated by you with the responsibility for administering the pureCommerce system. Training will provide hands-on experience for your administrators in all major aspects of the pureCommerce system. Training can occur either over the phone, at your location if local or contracted, or at one of our office locations. Ongoing training is available through your dedicated client manager.

Stage 6 - Product roll out

Setting up, configuring and gaining an understanding of the powerful product and merchandising features of the pureCommerce system is critical to your on-line success. Depending on your needs, in this stage we may:

  • Implement or migrate product data
  • Create stores and configure product presentation and category structures
  • Review and navigation logic and ergonomics
  • Create and configure promotional and feature capabilities
  • Implement checkout options, modules, and search facilities

Stage 7 - Testing

Your store is ready for simulated customer experience and transactions. In this Stage we will make any final adjustments and provide a final knowledge transfer of any methods or means that have been used to facilitate your functionality and design options. Prior to deploying your site live on the Internet we need to verify the following:

  • Store is configured to accommodate any special requirements that may have been introduced during the implementation process
  • Back office users are appropriately trained
  • Your storefront processes are tested and test sales and transactions are performed
  • We will advise you on porting previous search engine efforts or creating redirections when transitioning from an existing site to a pureCommerce one
  • We will consult with you on means to contact your existing customers and members to inform them of the new site and features

Stage 8 - Deployment

Your new on-line store is ready to produce revenues and profits. At this stage, we will initialize your live domains and ensure your new pureCommerce site is officially propagated on the Internet. You are now ready to notify the world that you are ready for business!

Stage 9 - Support & Maintenance

Now that your eCommerce site is available to the world your needs may change. Your dedicated client manager will always be available to assist you with additional functionality or training. Our Maintenance plans ensure that your software is frequently updated with better features, usability, and stable technology.
